Independence Day Celebrated at St.thomas Mission, Bhilai

Bhilai: St. Thomas Mission Bhilai joined millions of Indians across the globe to celebrate the Nation’s 67th Independence Day, by unfurling the national flag and organising cultural events to mark the occasion.
Fr. Joshi Varghese, Secretary St. Thomas Mission, hoisted the tri-colour at the Mission premises at Bhilai to celebrate the Independence Day. He exhorted everyone present to uphold the nation and its leaders in prayer so that we are blessed with peace and prosperity. The day was brightened by the cultural activities of the students of Jeevan Jyoti Bhilai. The gathering consisting of the inmates of St. Thomas Ashram & Convent, staff of Diocesan Office & Santhome Press and the dwellers of Badi were mesmerized by the patriotic songs and dances presented by the tiny tots. Special Prayer for the Nation was organized on the eve of Independence Day.
