New Orthodox chapel at Sarjapur Road in Bangalore under Mar Seraphim begins

Bengaluru: The Holy Trinity Orthodox Chapel at Sarjapur Road under Bengaluru Diocese has started to function formally. The chapel under Mar Baselios Orthodox Church, Marthahalli, held its  first  service from March 2, Sunday marked as Pethratha Sunday.
Henceforth the worship will be on first and third Sundays of every month which is a long cherished dream for residents who stay nearby. During the inaugural service at the chapel around 200 faithful attended. The Holy Eucharist was led by Fr Santhosh from  Marthahalli Orthodox Church.
HG Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim, Bengaluru Diocese Metropolitan, says a long cherished dream was full filled with the beginning of the chapel at Sarjapur. The Metropolitan has appreciated the initiative taken by Fr Santhosh and the Marthahalli parish.
At present the worship will be first and third Sundays of every month. The morning prayers will commence from 7.30 am and Holy Eucharist from 8.15 am. The Carmelram Chapel is located at: Snehadaan Campus, Near St Patricks Academy, Sajapur Road, Ambedkar Nagar, Carmelaram Post, Bangalore – 560 035
